Here's what's left of my first bike.
Purchased 31yrs ago for £89.99 & I knew nothing about bikes except mine had to have a bell, basket & stand which it did by the time I took it home. I wasn't allowed to have one as a child so was pretty clueless.
It's probably done thousands of miles over varying terrain & been a reliable, albeit clattery, bike ridden almost weekly. Sadly it had finally gone past the point of repair & it was time to say goodbye. I've salvaged bits & pieces that I can hopefully reuse on my new (secondhand £45) bike. The new one needs some tweaks to make it comfortable & hopefully I can still ride a bike in 31yrs time too.
